164 healthcare foundation

The federal government may shut down. There is a need for another
continuing resolution.
Prior legislative
action has cut funding of health care for illegal aliens and able
bodied individuals making no effort to work. There are other issues,
but the democrats are banking on heart stringing the issue of health
care for these two groups.
Stepping back for a
moment we ask what the federal legislative bodies have been doing all
this time. Even if there is a need for a continuing resolution to
keep government running and maybe it is best to let it shut down.
Health care in the
United States is crazy and of a questionable unsustainable business
model. Costs to many entities seem inflated. Too many proposed
solutions seemed to be influences by political contribution. Too
much money is based upon who made contributions to medical schools.
Since the
politicians are making health care a political issue we need to start
with the foundation. Should it be the blue foundation or should it
be the red foundation? Should the foundation even be political?
Health care and its
associated fee and payment structure needs to be analyzed and
defined. Who pays for the results of an auto accident? Auto
insurance? Someone falls at your house. Who pays for the medical
when someone falls off your roof? Home owners insurance pays?
Step back for a
moment. Why do things cost what they do? It needs to be looked at.
Are costs made based upon ability to pay? Are costs figured
honestly? Is insurance used to inflate costs or protect the insured
from financial ruin? If so, why so much financial ruin due to
medical bills?
These politicians
who want to scream health care, come up with a problem definition,
some possible solutions, make real legislation, put it to the people,
have it make sense. Don’t make a system that caters to special
interests.
And,…. what have
these legislators been doing all this time?
